Stirling Bagpipes Pipe Bag seasoning is a modern alternative to the old style of seasonings, which were made to a 'secret recipe'(animal fats and fish oils, etc). This seasoning is glycerine based and sets far quicker. Since you only use a little at a time, there is no need to hang the bag overnight. One quarter of a tub will season a new bag! For hygiene reasons there is a percentage of Dettol in the formula. Feeds and preserves leather pipe bags, absorbs moisture providing a rich resonant tone to the instrument.
