Plain turned Polypenco plastic highland bagpipe

Description

This model is a full sized, plain turned bagpipe in antique style, with solid nickel ferrules (not plated) and nickel ringcaps.

Delrin, or Polypenco, has been used to make pipe chanters for many years, by successful bands in competition. Only in very recent years has it become popular to use it throughout the pipes, i.e in the manufacture of the drones too.

It has grown in popularity of young pipers as their first set, not only because of the low price, but due to its flexibility and ability to tolerate teenagers abuse.
